Frankel Watch: East Heads to St Cloud (Group 3)

Readers may remember our recent post about a potentially smart Frankel filly. Kevin Ryan's East, a daughter of Frankel out of a smart mare, Vital Statistics, was priced 9/4 on debut at Hamilton when winning by half a length. 

In the ownership of East Partners, this 315,000 euro breeze-up purchase looks to be a fine buy. 

Just looking through the declarations and see that this February foal is entered to run on the 5th October 2018.

2:05 St Cloud - East (GB) 2yo — Vital Statistics (GB) (Overnight) at Saint-Cloud Prix Thomas Byron Jockey Club de Turquie (Group 3) (2yo) (Turf) (7f)

Just five two-year-olds are entered for this 7f contest, which is detailed as good to soft going. Three French horses take part, plus Ed Vaughan's Dubai Domination who has been kept busy with four runs to date. 

East is the only filly to be unbeaten. She should appreciate this step up in trip and will have no fears about testing going.  

Ryan has a number of smart juveniles in his stable this season including Emaaraaty Ana, Yousini, Secret Venture & Queen Jo Jo
