Princesse D'or Heads to Kempton to Make her Debut (10th November)

If money talks, there should be lots of gossip surrounding the debut of Frankel filly Princesse D'or who makes her debut at Kempton this evening.

Charlie Appleby has been in fine form all season with his two-year-olds and this bay filly, an April foal, is bred to be a class apart. The sales price of 2,000,000 guineas is enough to catch the attention of most, let alone when you have a closer look at her breeding.

A half-sister to Golden Horn out of the unraced mare Fleche D'or.

Golden Horn won over £4M in prize money from 7 victories and now a stallion with a fee of £10,000.

Princesse D'or is a full sister to Dhahabi who cost 3,100,000 guineas and winner on debut for connections and placed in pattern class on his next two starts.

Princesse D'or makes her debut at Kempton (5:00) contesting the 1m Unibet/British Stallions Studs EBF Fillies' Stakes (GBB Race) (Div I) (Class 5) (2yo)

In what looks a competitive heat, Roger Varian's Al Husn will make the most of her experience, especially after a slow start from a plum draw in stall 1.

There has been money fro Princesse D'or who has to negate a wide draw in stall 12 which is far from ideal for a debutante on a turning course. However, racing over one mile, gives time to find her stride and ability should come to the fore.

Clive Cox's Yarraluma ran well last time out at Great Yarmouth, while Peace Offering ran a fine race on debut at Nottingham for Lord Lloyd-Webber, racing in his familiar silks.

To add to the mix Simon Crisford fields Ammolite who won on debut 162-days ago.

This should be a stiff race and a competitive introduction to Princesse D'or who will have her supporters.

Good luck to connections.
