Tony Montana in Training with Michael Bell for Amo Racing Limited

The first of this year's two-year-old Frankel crop is being reviewed and it's great to see Michael Bell has Tony Montana in his ranks at Newmarket's Fitzroy House Stables.

This April foal cost 500,000 guineas when purchased by A C Elliott (vendor Hillwood Stud) at the Tattersalls Yearling Sale Book 1 (Lot 91).

This bay colt - an April foal - is out of the mare Tropical Paradise who was trained by Peter Winkworth in the ownership of R Lovelace & R Muddle. She was a very capable racehorse with 17 starts, achieving 6 wins and an official rating of 108. Total prize money of £123,375. Two victories at Group 3 class (both at Goodwood) prove a talented filly who retired from racing at the age of five.

Tony Montana races in the familiar silks of Amo Racing Limited (previously named Karmaa Racing Limited).

Amo Racing Limited had one two-year-old racing last year in the shape of Lady Tati who was originally in training with David Simcock before heading to Ralph Beckett. She proves a bitter disappointment. Costing £100,000 at the yearling sales, she was sold at the 2yo Horses in Training Sale for just 6,000 Guineas.

Amo Racing Limited is owned by major football agent Kia Joorabchian (pictured).

Connections will be hoping Tony Montana can prove a talented colt considering his lofty price tag.

An interesting two-year-old worth following this season.
