Frankel Offspring 2022 - Jeff Koons in Training with John & Thady Gosden

You may be thinking that name rings a bell. 

To be honest, all those names are like music to my ears. 

Checking to see if any of this years Frankel two-year-olds (2yos) have been named and see a good few have and stables detailed. My brain switches off as soon as I see ''unnamed'' because you are forever waiting for the moment a horse gets its monika. While updating the horse racing info I often stop for a break and enjoy the best au online casino before getting to work on more horse racing info. Everything in moderation, that's what they say. 

Hence this son of Frankel, a February foal (11/02/20), out of a very talented mare, Quidura, who raced 12 times in a great career, winning four times, including a couple of Grade 2 victories, and total prize earnings of £580,787. It's interesting to see she started her career racing in Cologne, Germany, where she was tailed off in a Group 3 race before changing trainers and location to the US and H. Graham Motion. It was a good move considering she won her next two starts and pocketed almost £100,000. Later, as a five-year-old, she was trained by Chad C Brown when winning unchallenged at Saratoga, racing over eight-and-a-half furlongs and collecting win prize money of £162,962. With all that prize money on offer I wonder if connections will be heading towards rivernilecasino onine casino and see if they can grab some more money for the pot. A very talented mare who ran over distance from 1m - 1m 2f. 

She was sold to White Birch Farm for $3.6 in 2017.

If you are still questioning who is Jeff Koons, then he is the American artist recognised for his work dealing with popular culture and sculptures depicting everyday objects. I'm sure you have seen his balloon animals, actually made of stainless-steel and mirror-finished surfaces. In fact, buying Frankel offspring seems a cheap alternative to buying a Jeff Koons' Balloon Dog (Orange) which sold for $91M.   

Considering Jeff Koons' net worth is said to be over $500M he's not short of a few quid.

Whether you like your horse racing or art I will have my eye on Jeff Koons this season as money talks. 

Considering this son of Frankel has an early entry for the 2023 Epsom Derby anything is possible (perhaps).

Frankel 2yo Eye Catchers for 2021

It's been a little while since I last write a post. As you may appreciate the Frankel two-year-olds (2yos) for the 2021 season are in no rush to reveal themselves. However, we do have three talented juveniles to detail which all will be winners although one of those has proven to be a disappointment and odds-on loser. 

Put these in your notebook.

Triple Time, trained by Kevin Ryan.

This son of Frankel out of a three-time winning mare made a taking debut at Leicester [1/6/21]. Racing in the familiar silks of Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, this March foal faced stiff competition over 6f on good-to-firm ground. A gallant third place looked all the more promising when you watch the race as this bay colt was dramatically slow from the stalls, keen, but ran on in the fashion of a classy horse. There will be lots more to come from this good-looking son of Frankel. Kevin Ryan does well with his two-year-olds and seen a number of winners this season. There was money for Triple Time who was backed from 9/1 - 17/2. The form of that race will hold up and John Gosden's winner Dhabab looks a real talent, while Archie Watson's second placed Sweeping will be winning soon. It's not beyond the realms Triple Time is the best of the lot. I'd be surprised if he doesn't win next time out in a normal maiden and connections could fancy a chance at Royal Ascot.

Another Frankel colt in the capable care of John & Thady Gosden. This April foal is owned by Prince A A Faisal, a home bred from Nawara Stud Limited. This bay colt is out of a very talented mare who four times from nineteen starts, victorious at Grade 1, accruing over £500,000 in total prize earnings.  Find made his debut at Great Yarmouth [28/5/21] over 7f on good ground. This race fielded a number of talented two-year-olds including the comfortable winner New Science trained by Charlie Appleby for Godolphin who proved a classy favourite and clearly a horse that will contend group class racing sooner than later. Find was fancied in the betting [11/2]. Draw in stall one, this good-looking colt, who looked in very good condition, travelled just in behind the pace, hitting the front at the two pole, going as well as anything, and not given a hard time at all in the closing furlong when the favourite went on. I would expect a big run on his second start and another to be contesting pattern class. I'm pretty sure the form of the Yarmouth race will reveal a number of winners. 

Fall Of Rome, trained by Charlie Appleby. 

This bay colt is an April foal in training with Charlie Appleby in the familiar royal blue silks of Godolphin. This son of Frankel is out of a debut-winning mare who also prevailed at Listed class, and contested pattern class on six occasions. 

Fall Of Rome has been something of a punter's nightmare, beaten favourite on his first two starts to date and failing to shine when only finishing third at odds-on [4/11] when the going may have been a touch too soft for this horse. He looked something of an unlucky loser when running from a long way off the pace at Ascot on debut when racing over 5f which may have been on the sharp side. By all accounts it was a disappointing effort at Goodwood but I'm sure a win will be coming within the next few starts. Perhaps a drop back in distance on better ground will be the answer.

Frankel Watch: Daddy Frank, Just Held (31st October)

Late October, Newcaslte is the venue. 

Fifteen minutes past five and the Frankel fans are getting excited. It's the Play Ladbrokes 5-A-Side on Football EBF Novice Stakes (Class 5) (2yo) over 7f (14yds) on Standard going. 

John Gosden fields a son of Frankel out of a twice-raced mare [Smart Change] who didn't exactly shine on the track. It's interesting to note this bay colt was a late foal [9th June] in the ownership of John Gunther & Tanya Gunther, a home bred. Race fans will remember the success of Without Parole (pictured) at Royal Ascot's St James' Palace Stakes (Group 1) in 2018, when beating Gustav Klimt by half a length. Connections will be hopeful Without Parole can make an impact as a first-season sire standing at Newsells Park Stud.

Without Parole was similarly sired by Frankel in 2015.     

A ten-strong field of two-year-olds, saw a mixed bag of horses and trainers, with the hot-pot favourite, Komachi, trained by Charlie Appleby for Godolphin. This son of Kingman was a 6/4f when making his debut at Kempton when finishing a creditable third place some three lengths behind Oo De Lally who was something of a surprise when winning on his second start at 125/1. 

Komachi was all the rage in the market starting at 5/6f. However, there was plenty of confidence behind Daddy Frank who was backed from an opening price of 9/2 - 7/2. For much of the race it looked as this Frankel offspring was in need of the race when towards the rear. However, this debutante made good headway 2f out, disputed lead 1f out, ridden and briefly led inside final furlong, headed but kept on towards finish, just held. 

Daddy Frank finished a neck behind Komachi beating the third by three lengths. 

Racing Post Reporter said: Daddy Frank, who's a June foal, is out of a half-sister to the dam of Without Parole, who won in impressive fashion here on his debut for these connections three years ago. He shaped promisingly on his debut, quickening up well into contention before finding the more experienced winner just a bit too strong in the finish. He shouldn't have too much trouble getting off the mark. [Steffan Edwards]

Regent, Senita, Stilleto, Flaunt, Counsel, Social Status, Zagato, Netherton, Franklet, Seventh Kingdom, Side Shot, Restitution, Hopefully Darling & Frinkle, Attendent. 

Frankel Watch: Senita Makes it Third Time Lucky at Redcar

After a slightly slow start to the season, John Gosden's two-year-olds have clicked nicely into gear. 

Heading north to Redcar saw Senita, a strapping daughter of Frankel, make her experience count with a impressive victory.  Robert Havlin was all smiles after steering this January foal clear of a field of six opponents taking the Market Cross Jewellers EBF Fillies' Novices Stakes in comfortable fashion by four-and-a-quarter lengths. 

Punters got stuck into this 2/7f, who relished the testing going over this mile trip. 

After being a bridesmaid on her first two starts, connections will be pleased to see this brown filly get a win under her belt and go on to better things. 

Considering she held an entry for the Fillies' Mile Stakes (Group 1) it wasn't a surprise to see her bolt up although punters were probably thinking the same on her second start when she was beaten by William Haggas' Lilac Road when 1/6f. 

Senita was fancied to win on debut when runner-up at Newmarket racing over 7f, when bumping into another talented filly in Charlie Appleby's Danilova. 

K. Abdullah will be pleased to see his filly get her head in front as she hasn't done anything wrong. The dam, Atone, raced just twice for Abdullah, when trained by Sir Michael Stoute, winning by a short head on her second start at Goodwood. 

Senita has matched her mother with an impressive win and a horse who will progress with racing and likley to be running at pattern class sooner than later.

Frankel Watch: Seventh Kingdom Wins Readily on Debut at Doncaster

You don't have to wait long to be impressed by a Frankel-sired two-year-old.

That's what favourite backers concluded as they saw the John Gosden-trained Seventh Kingdom win on debut at Doncaster. 

This son of Frankel out of the winning mare Nayarra started his career in a four-runner race but there was lots of enjoy about his performance when winning by and easy four-lengths at odds of 6/5f. 

This April foal in the familiar silks of owner Prince A A Faisal took a little while to gather pace as Longlai and Codebook set the pace but it was all changed at the two-furlong pole as Seventh Kingdom cruised past the opponents, pulling clear in the final half-furlong to make a beautiful introduction with hopes of more to come. 

Thady Gosden, representing John Gosden said: He was a bit green and behind the bridle but picked up nicely and galloped to the line. 

There will be more to come from this attractive colt.

Is Frankel Related to Enable?

In the modern history of horse racing, few horses have made the headline and featured in more column inches than Frankel and Enable. 

Race fans have been left astounded by the success of these two thoroughbred racehorses which have proven exceptional talents. 

Both horses are in the ownership of Khalid Abdullah and Juddmonte Farms. But here's a question many race fans ask: 

Is Frankel related to Enable? While others have questioned is Enable Frankel's daughter?

Let's first take a moment to review the achievements of these wonderful horses. 

Frankel 

Frankel, trained by Sir Henry Cecil, foaled 11th February 2008. This bay colt is sired by Galileo, bred by Juddmonte Farms, out of the mare named Kind. 

This exceptional horse was unbeaten in 14 races in a racing career from 2010 -  2012. He won 12 significant Group races. He won total prize money worth £2,998,302. Frankel was given a Timeform rating of 147 making him the highest rating in the organisation's history. 

He was awarded: 

1st in World Thoroughbred Ranking (2011, 2012), European Horse Of The Year (2011, 2012), European Two-Year-Old Colt (2010), European Three-Year-Old Colt (2011), European Champion Older Horse (2012) & Timeform rating 147.

Enable 

Enable, trained by John Gosden, foaled 12th February 2012. At the time of writing, she has run 15 times, with 13 wins, 1 second and 1 third place. 

This bay daughter of the stallion Nathaniel is out a mare named Concentric. She was bred by Juddmonte Farms. She has won 12 significant races including a dual winner of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (2017, 2018). She continues to race at the highest level and achieved total prize earnings of £10,382,243. 

She has been awarded:

Cartier Champion Three-year-old Filly (2017), Cartier Horse of the year (2017) & Cartier Champion Older Horse (2018).

Is Frankel Related to Enable?

One of the major reasons race fans ask if these two superstars of racing are related comes from the fact they are in the ownership of Khalid Abdullah, hence they wear the same racing silks. Frankel is sired by Galileo, while the sire of Enable is Nathaniel, who was also sired by Galileo. Interestingly, Frankel and Nathaniel raced again each other at two and three, competing in a number of races. So they are related by the stallion Galileo, being the father of Frankel and the Grandfather of Enable.     

Frankel Watch: Herman Hesse Looking for Success at Goodwood

Herman Hesse hasn't quite lived up to expectation on two starts to date. Lady Bamford's son of Frankel, out of a four-time winning mare, heads to Goodwood (2:00) and one of the favourites to take the spoils. Stepping up to 1m 1f197y on soft going could be the key to success. 

Lady Bamford has owned a number of exceptional horses including Epsom Oaks victor Sariska. Not only is she the wife of JCB CEO, Sir Anthony Bamford, but she is also an organic food pioneer and author.  

John Gosden's bay colt has been fancied in the betting on both starts when racing at Yarmouth and Sandown, respectively. Racing over 7f/1m this attractive colt has competed against quality opposition but been found out by an insufficient trip. I can imagine connections have been surprised Herman Hesse hasn't won on these formative starts and have been waiting for this race and expecting to see a marked improvement over this stiffer test. 

Racing on soft going will definitely help and there should be no excuses today over this extended trip. 

If the betting is to be believed this Maiden Stakes is out of five horses, with horses priced 33/1 bar the quintet. 

The major opponent looks to be Khalifa Sat, trained by Andrew Balding, who finished a respectable 6th on debut. 

I'm sure Herman Hesse will run a sound race on this third start, but there are still a few ifs and buts.

2 Frankel 2yos for Michael Bell in 2019 Season

Michael Bell is always a two-year-old trainer worth noting. 

This season the juveniles have been Maxi Boy, Applecross & Zmiles. It will be interesting to see how a couple of those go at Royal Ascot 2019. 

I'm not sure if Michael Bell has previously trained any Frankel-sired two-year-olds but it is with great joy we reveal Fitzroy House has at least two Frankel offspring this season. 

Festive Love is a chestnut filly sired by Frankel out of the dam Eva's Request in the ownership of Lady Bamford, who also has Herman Hesse who is trained this season with John Gosden. This colt made his debut at Great Yarmouth when priced 3/1 when finishing sixth. A very attractive horse who will be winning this season. 

Festive Love is worth watching this season. 

Interesting that the other Bell-Frankel two-year-old is in the ownership of The Queen. This bay colt is named Formality out of the dam Silver Mirage, who won on her final start in the same ownership.

Frankel Watch: Unresolved 2yo Frankel Colt Ready to Shine for Saif Ali

The Frankel 2yos for 2019 are hotting up.

I really enjoy looking at the Frankel Progeny Entries detailed on the Racing Post. I usually take a quick look to see the week ahead and make a note of any juveniles declared to make their racecourse bow. 

Readers will know that Frankel Blog is all about the two-year-old (2yo) strings for trainers big and small. This season we have seen a couple of Frankel's make their debut for Mark Johnston who trains at Kingsley House, Middleham, Leyburn, North Yorkshire. 

The first colt being Fred, who disappointed on debut, then ran a storming race at Leicester to win by a nose. This son of Frankel is on the small side but doesn't lack for pace and even considered for the Superlative Stakes (Group 2).  

More recently, we saw Nick Bradley Racing field a Frankel filly called Frankel's Storm who was fancied to go well on debut at Newmarket. She finished 7th although only beaten just over four lengths and wasn't favoured by running down the middle of the course.

We mentioned in that day's post Johnston has four Frankel two-year-old in his string. At that time this son of Frankel was unnamed but now we can reveal his name is Unresolved, a bay colt, born on April 7th, 2017. 

The mare, Lamar, was in training with James Tate in the same silks of Saif Ali. She was a durable daughter of Cape Cross racing 25 times in her career, achieving 6 wins including a Listed class success. An all-time Official Rating of 106 details a talented horse which ran up to 1m 2f. Total earning of £153,415. 

Unresolved was sold at the sales for £85,000, which is incredibly cheap considering the stallion fee for Frankel is £175,000. 

Taking a look at the entries this colt has been entered at the five-day declaration stages for the following 2yo races:

Saturday 25th July - 1:45 Sandown Martin Densham Memorial EBF Stakes (Plus 10 Race) 7f. 

Another Frankel 2yo has an entry for this race. Herman Hesse, trained by John Gosden in the ownership of Lady Bamford.

Richard Hannon's Frankel Filly Shammah to Make it Second Time Lucky

Our recent post noted John Gosden's Frankel colt Hernam Hesse, who made his debut at Great Yarmouth. By all accounts, it looked a strong race with Charlie Appleby's Boccaccio returning a comfortable winner while all those which hit the frame are worthy of interest in preceding weeks. 

Herman Hesse was well backed but needed the run and will be much better next time out. A lovely-looking colt who should be tasting victory sooner than later. 

Back to proceedings. Shammah is a daughter of Frankel, who made her debut at Salisbury when starting at odds of 6/1. This compact bay filly is out of a winning French mare. 

Shammah ran well on her first start behind Andrew Balding's Symbolize who could well be heading to Royal Ascot. When winning the Simon & Nerys Dutfield Memorial Stakes (Plus 10 Race). 

Readers may remember that Nerys Dutfield held a trainer's licence. The couple owned Axminster Carpets. Mr Dutfield died in April 2016, while his wife sadly passed away on July 20th (2016), after battling cancer. The couple is survived by their eight children. 

Shammah holds three entries from the 3rd - 5th June at Lingfield (6f), Nottingham (5f) & Kempton (6f) respectively.

Frankel Watch (2yo): Herman Hesse to Write Poetic Prose for Gosden at Yarmouth

Interesting to note that John Gosden has a Frankel two-year-old (2yo) entered to run at Great Yarmouth on Thursday 30th May 2019. 

This February foal, a bay colt, is a homebred son of Frankel in the ownership of Lady Bamford. For those who have heard of Lady Bamford - a high-profile owner of racehorses - with many and varied trainers, she is a British business person who founded the Daylesford Organic Farmshops chain and Bamford brand of women's products. Her spouse is Lord Anthony Bamford who is the chairman of JCB. He is estimated to be worth £3.1 billion. 

Herman Hesse is out of a five-times winning mare who won a Group 2 race at Deauville, France. The mare started her career over 71/2f but raced predominantly over 8 - 10 furlongs in an 18-race career, which saw her finish runner-up on her final start at Saratoga, USA, when beaten by a head at Grade 1 at the age of five. She achieved total prize money of £511,865. 

Herman Hesse was a German-born poet, novelist and painter. Born in 1877, in 1946 he received the Nobel Prize for Literature. His work related to the search for authenticity, self-knowledge and spirituality. 

Herman Hess has been entered to run at Great Yarmouth (2:50) in the 7f (7f3y) British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes (Class 5) (2yo). 

Lady Bamford has many horses in trainer with handlers including John Gosden, Sir Mark Prescott, Charles Hills, Michael Bell & Richard Hannon. 

One of her best horses was Wings Of Desire, trained by John Gosden, who raced at the highest standard when competing just eight times at two and three. He finished fourth in the Epsom Derby (2016). 

Probably her greatest success was breeding and ownership of Sariska, trained by Michael Bell winner of the English and Irish Oaks in an 11 race career, achieving five wins and total prize winnings of $1,113,771.  

John Gosden has at least four Frankel two-year-olds at Carehaven Stables, Newmarket. One of those is named Majestic Noor, an April foal, and a bay filly out of the mare Nouriya, in the ownership of Mr Saleh Al Homaizi & Mr Imad Al Sagar. Who, intriguingly, own another Frankel prospect named Amtiyaz, who is in training with Ilka Gansera-Leveque. 

Very intriguing.     

Frankel Watch 2019: Mark Johnson to Train Frankel Two-year-olds (Fred)

A new Flat turf season brings opportunities to stables large and small. 

One trainer who needs no introduction is Mark Johnston who trains at Kingsley Park Stables, Middleham. Leyburn, North Yorkshire is always a hive of activity with a vast string of two-year-olds. Not a year goes by that this talented trainer doesn't achieve success with horses running at the highest level. 

I'm not sure if he has trained many offspring of Frankel, that that is all about to change. Searching for information at Juddmonte Stallions, I noticed Mark Johnston is training a Frankel colt named Fred. This February foal is a chestnut colt out of a mare named Deirdre, bred by Normandie Stud Ltd and now in the ownership of The Burke Family.  

The mare was similarly owned and bred but trained by John Gosden. Three previous covers have yielded winners. Her racecourse career saw her race just six times: winning on her second start at Newcastle over one mile. Racing at Group 3, her best performance came at Goodwood when placed at Listed class. Deirdre concluded her race career at three. 

At the time of writing this post, Mark Johnston has four Frankel two-year-olds in his ranks. It will be interesting to see how Fred goes. 
   

Frankel Watch: New King Disappoints On Debut At Lingfield For John Gosden

12:25 Lingfield - 

New King was all the rage with punters when making his debut for John Gosden in the familiar silks of Qatar Racing Ltd. This son of Frankel out of a three-time French-winning mare who concluded her career of eight runs by winning at Group 3. 

This homebred blew the start but slotted into mid-division. The even-money favourite could never get to grips with his rivals as Barys, trained by Archie Watson, ran out a very easy winner. 

New King will learn a lot for the experience but a disappointing start for the touted runner. 

Frankellina Wins for Haggas at Yarmouth

A couple of Frankel two-year-olds making their presence felt at Great Yarmouth today. 

Frankelinna took her time to master Oussel Falls in the in the British Stallion Stud EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes (Plus 10) over 1m 3y on going described as Good to Firm (Good in places).

William Haggas hold this daughter of Frankel in high regard. This homebred races in the familiar silks of A E Oppenheimer. The mare was similarly owned and trained. Readers may remember Our Obsession who raced just four times in a short career. However, she tasted victory on three of her fours starts including a Listed race. 

Frankellina went one better than her mother who finished sixth on debut. This January foal was well backed from 11/4 (exchanges) to return 5/4f. For much of the race, she showed signs of inexperience, gathering her stride in the final furlong to win by a head from Oussel Falls and Summer Flair, running on in third. The first three fillies were all making their debut.   

The second Division saw another Frankel offspring taking part. This time trained by John Gosden, the twice-raced Mehdaayih. Taking on the odds-on shot Maqsad [trained by William Haggas] this daughter of Frankel started at odds of 4/1 second favourite. A beaten favourite on both starts to date. 

Mehdaayih ran out a nice winner defeating stablemate Fanny Logan, the favourite, Maqsad, finishing third.

Interesting to see if this bay filly heads to Great Yarmouth. A couple of starts and beaten favourite when placed sixth and second respectively. This April foal was beaten at odds of 4/6f at Doncaster when stepping up to one mile. She was probably beaten by a fair horse in Quintada. A recent Group entry details connections hold her in some regard. Perhaps it will be third time lucky with the smell of salt in the air.

He is out of a truly talented mare Adoration who race 19 times in America and achieved over £1000,000 in total earnings from eight wins. I'm not sure if Frankadore was an ugly duckling, but he was sold at the yearling sales for just £100,000. Considering it costs £175,000 for stallion fees there must have been something amiss. He races under the ownership of Clyne Dance Mound. He has entries for Ffos Las and Goodwood.

Another colt we have mentioned trained by Martyn Meade and owned by King Power Racing Co Ltd. The proprietor of Leicester City FC. Fox Vardy cost 210,000 guineas when purchased at the yearling sales. The mare Dance With Another was a fair performer in Ireland although one win from twelve starts. Also holds a Derby entry at three.

This twice raced son of Frankel seemingly disappointed on debut at Sandown when 11/4. He finished sixth of eight that day. Racing in the King Power Racing Co Ltd silks, this 700,000 guineas yearling purchase was sent off 13/8f at Newbury (17th August) but tired into fourth when outpaced by William Haggas' Boerhan who is held in some regard. Fox Premier holds a few significant entries. I'm sure connections have expected more. This step up to one mile may be the answer. Also, holds an entry for Saturday's Champagne Stakes (Group 2) at Doncaster. 

Frankel Watch: The Week Ahead

Well, last week saw an impressive Frankel debutant go in for Saeed bin Suroor. Dubai Beauty was well found in the betting and powered home in good fashion. Definitely the smartest Frankel two-year-old we have seen this season. I know many of you will state that we haven't seen many. I have to agree. However, a few have been showing a little bit more. 

Ralph Beckett's Fume ran much better stepping up in distance at Leicester although looks a nursery horse. He could well make up into a decent handicapper and likely to get a fair weight. One to consider for the future. May improve for stepping up in trip.

A quick review of this week's two-year-olds. 

Friday 17th August, we see a couple. Debutant Cap Francais and the once-raced Fox Premier. The former is trained by Ed Walker, the latter by Andrew Balding. 

On Saturday, we see another Frankel filly who disappointed when 5/2f for John Gosden. Mehdaayih disappointed to some extent but gave the impression there is better to come. Race comments said:   

''Unfurnished; sweating; held up in touch in the last quartet, effort 3f out, outpaced but headway into midfield and edged right over 1f out, no threat to leaders but kept on steadily inside final furlong (op 3/1)''

Frankel Watch: On The Quiet Front

Unlike last season, there has been very few Frankel two-year-olds making an appearance so far. It's quite interesting why this is the case. It makes me think that the first season, especially, that his breeding campaign would bring about a steady stream of runners: early, middle and late season. As the formative season was such a success, they may have considered there was little else to prove. However, we are into August and we have seen about three or four juveniles. 

Very strange. 

I am intrigued to see how the rest of the season will pan out. Will we see a huge number of runners in the next four months? No idea. There must be a huge increased at some point because I can't imagine this will be a forgettable year.

Thursday:

4:45 Goodwood - Mehdaayih - trained by John Gosden. 

This bay daughter of Frankel, out of a mare called Sayyedati Symphony was entered to run the other week but didn't take part. She is pretty fancied in the betting at 9/2. It suggests this April foal has been ready to run for a while and likely to be fit. Gosden may well have been waiting for the right opportunity. This Class 2 race is worth over £15,000. I expect Mehdaayih to go well. 

Saturday:

3:15 Newmarket - Dubai Beauty - trained by Saeed bin Suroor

Similarly, Dubai Beauty was entered to run last week but has been kept under wraps. This bay daughter of Frankel is out of a mare called Minidress who won on debut for Mamood Al Alzaroooni. 

Frankel Watch: Mehdaayih To Make Debut For John Gosden

A few Frankel 2yos have run this season. Fume. trained by Ralph Beckett, disappointed when favourite on debut at Doncaster on 12th July. This bay colt is likely to show ability next start. 

Interesting to note John Gosden has Mehdaayil, a bay daughter of Frankel, who is ready to make her debut this week. 

She has a couple of entries:

Wednesday:     4:10 Yarmouth 
Thursday:      6:20 Doncaster 

The mare Sayyedati Symphony was trained by Clive Brittain racing seven times without success. She achieved an official rating of 94. This bay raced at pattern class on three occasion when well beaten. She won total prize money of just £4,124. 

Later in the week, Gosden has Frisella entered to run on Friday 21st July 6:10 Newmarket. This daughter of Frankel ran well on debut when 6/5f at Haydock when runner-up to Cupboard Love, losing by half a length. 

Frankel Watch: Fox Premier Ready to Roll for Balding

Readers may have seen Hugo Palmer's Dombra narrowly foiled when ''just held'' at Salisbury on 27th June. As yet, this has been the only two-year-old to be seen in our domestic racing. 

However, that could be changing this week with news that Andrew Balding's Fox Premier has been entered for a few races and likely to make his debut at Haydock, Newbury or Sandown.

This son of Frankel cost 700,000 Guineas at the yearling sales. This bay colt is out of the mare Fann who was trained by Clive Brittain in the ownership of Saeed Manana. She raced nineteen times although only achieving one win in a handicap. She was very much a progressive filly who rose dramatically in the official ratings when rising to 104 when going close at Group 2.  

Fox Premier runs in the familiar blue and white silks of Leicester City FC owner Vichai Srivaddhanapradha in the name of King Power Racing Co Ltd.

Andrew Balding has noted this two-year-old who has been entered to run at Class 2 which brings some confidence. He will be racing over six or seven furlongs. 

In addition, John Gosden may have a Frankel-sired filly running on Friday in the name of Frisella. The mare raced twice for the same connection, winning a maiden on her second start before retiring. This bay filly is a home bred for K. Abdullah. She is entered to run Friday 6th July 6:45 Haydock.  

4 Frankel Entries for 2000 Guineas

With the Flat turf season on the horizon, punters may be holding ante-post wagers (keen to see if the price has shortened) or just intrigued to see how the market is shaping up. 

Frankel Blog is only interested in one aspect of this Classic taking place at Newmarket on Saturday 5th May 2018. Obviously, it is those three-year-olds sired by Frankel. I wasn't sure how many colts/fillies would hold an entries at this stage. 

Four horses:

Without Parole 

A colt trained by John Gosden and impressive six-length winner at 8/13f. This fine prospect is owned by John & Tanya Gunther. [No odds for 2000 Guineas]

Elarqam 

This well-bred son of Frankel is out of star performer Attraction, who won the 1000 Guineas among many notable races. Elarqam has won both his two starts to date (10/11f & 11/8f). A lovely debut effort when staying on strongly at York. Then ''eased close home'' when taking the Tattersalls Stakes (Group 3) at Newmarket. Both races where over 7f. He is priced 14/1 to win the 2000 Guineas for Mark Johnston in the ownership of Hamdan Al Maktoum. 

Red Mist 

This three-year-old is out of the dam Red Dune. Simon Crisford managed to get a short-head win from this bay colt on debut. He lost by a short-head when stepping up to Listed class at Newbury over 7f. Red Mist ran out a sterling effort when fourth of seven, beaten just over four lengths, in the Champagne Stakes (Group 2) at Doncaster. A fair effort considering this February foal was keen.[No odds for 2000 Guineas] 

Herculean 

Roger Charlton is a class trainer and very selective with Group entries at two. It is worth noting this son of Frankel who is out of African Rose, made his winning debut at Ascot in September. Never a bad sign for this stable and leading owner K Abdullah. The 11/10f was giving a ''promising'' tag when beating Wadilsafa who has a reputation himself as a talented horse. Herculean is priced 25/1 to win the 2000 Guineas. 

Saxon Warrior is favourite at 5/1. This son of Deep Impact - trained by Aidan O'Brien - has won all three starts to date including the Racing Post Trophy Stakes (Group 1). He has achieved prize winning of £191,937.
